At the Deutsche Strasse Bed and Breakfast we enjoy providing our guests with homemade breakfasts - right down to the strawberry jam. This past week, the Minnesota season for fresh-grown strawberries began, and Ramona went to the farm and picked several pounds of this ripened fruit. Over the 4th of July holiday, she spent many hours in the kitchen in the spirit of the holiday - with Red strawberries, Blue apron, and White stove preparing many containers of homemade strawberry jam. Our guests enjoy the jam on croissants, Southern-style buttermilk biscuits, homemade toasted bread just to mention a few ways to enjoy this bursting with flavor item. Mark your calendars for a fun time of shopping and activities, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 24 - 25. Beat the rush and drive to New Ulm on Thursday after work and take the day off on Friday. The Deutsche Strasse B&B is only four blocks from downtown New Ulm.
