				<title>Lola&apos;s Larkspur Market - An American Bistro</title>
				<link>http://www.deutschestrasse.com/blog/client/index.cfm/2010/4/12/Lolas-Larkspur-Market--An-American-Bistro</link>
				<description>

				This past weekend, my husband and I chose to dine at Lola&apos;s and we were very pleasantly surprised. Starting with the appetizers the flavors were so intense and fresh, we enjoyed every mouthful. Our choices were the Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms and Artichoke Flatbread. Both were prepared upon ordering and it was well worth the wait. Our dinner choices were White Lasagna (the special for the day and only $9.95) with a side of a Caesar salad and the Grilled shrimp, asparagus and asiago risotto, caper tarragon butter. Both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was attentive and we were so full that we needed to take home some of our meals. For a full dining experience, Lola&apos;s has a wine menu and wonderful desserts. We recommend that when in New Ulm, give Lola&apos;s a try. The restaurant is within walking distance of the Deutsche Strasse Bed and Breakfast in New Ulm.

				<title>New Ulm, MN - Gourmet Coffee?!</title>
				<link>http://www.deutschestrasse.com/blog/client/index.cfm/2009/5/20/New-Ulm-MN--Gourmet-Coffee</link>
				<description>

				At the Deutsche Strasse Bed &amp; Breakfast, we serve our own signature breakfast blend of coffee. The beans are ground just before we brew the coffee. Our motto is: Wake Up and
Smell the Coffee! Originally, we had purchased a variety of coffee beans and made the blend for our guests in our kitchen. So many of the guests commented that they enjoyed the coffee so much, that they wondered where we purchased the coffee. We contacted two coffee roasters who tried to simulate what I was doing with this slightly flavored coffee; just enough flavor to take the edge off the coffee. Our breakfast blend is now for sale as the beans are commercially processed and packaged in 8 oz bags of either beans or ground, regular or decaf. We will mail these packages upon request, but we recommend that you come and stay with us and be able to taste the coffee before you purchase any.

				<title>New Ulm Minnesota Bed and Breakfast - It&apos;s Strawberry Season!</title>
				<link>http://www.deutschestrasse.com/blog/client/index.cfm/2008/7/7/New-Ulm-Minnesota-Bed-and-Breakfast--Its-Strawberry-Season</link>
				<description>

				At the Deutsche Strasse Bed and Breakfast we enjoy providing our guests with homemade breakfasts - right down to the strawberry jam. This past week, the Minnesota season for fresh-grown strawberries began, and Ramona went to the farm and picked several pounds of this ripened fruit. Over the 4th of July holiday, she spent many hours in the kitchen in the spirit of the holiday - with Red strawberries, Blue apron, and White stove preparing many containers of homemade strawberry jam. Our guests enjoy the jam on croissants, Southern-style buttermilk biscuits, homemade toasted bread just to mention a few ways to enjoy this bursting with flavor item. We invite you to also come and enjoy!

				<title>German Town - German Food</title>
				<link>http://www.deutschestrasse.com/blog/client/index.cfm/2007/9/21/German-Town--German-Food</link>
				<description>

				For those who have traveled to Germany, many times they experience the &quot;wanderlust&quot; and wish that they could return. The next best thing is to visit New Ulm, Minnesota, as the city has been designated as the &quot;Most German Town in the USA&quot;. The architecture of the downtown displays many German characteristics, there is German Cuisine available at the Kaiserhof and at Otto&apos;s, and there are many specialty shops featuring German imports. At the Deutsche Strasse Bed &amp; Breakfast we are featuring for some of our breakfasts, a Bavarian Omelet, which features ingredients from our local sausage shop, local growers, and also tomatoes from our own back yard! Get away for the weekend and explore, indulge in some German cuisine, and perhaps try a beer or two.
